Black-Tar Heroin Lures New Users

Many addicts got hooked on narcotics through Oxycontin and other prescription drugs. Quinones says the dealers want to maximize profits in the shortest time period with minimum risk.

Nov 28th, 2009 · Los Angeles Times sportswriter Mike Penner, who announced two years ago he was a transsexual and was changing his name to Christine Daniels, has died at age 52, the newspaper reported Saturday. The Times said in a story Saturday Penner was believed to have committed suicide.
