Sep 11th, 2008 · An opinion poll released Wednesday by the BBC World Service suggests people in 22 countries would prefer Barack Obama as president by a margin of 4 to 1 over Republican rival John McCain. But some observers say many Europeans don't realize that Obama will be under the same constraints as any American president.

Jan 23rd, 2007 · A new BBC World Service poll asked more than 26,000 people across 25 countries about the U.S. role in world affairs. Steven Kull, co-designer of the poll, says that global opinions of the U.S. have deteriorated, and that many of those polled describe U.S. actions as hypocritical.
