Obama Senate Seat For Sale?

Dec 10th, 2008 · Illinois Gov. Rod Blajogevich and his chief of staff, John Harris, are free on bond after being arrested yesterday on corruption charges. Blajogevich is accused of putting a price tag on the U.S. senate seat vacated by Sen. Barack Obama and auctioning it off to the highest bidder, among other complaints.

Wells Fargo, Citigroup Battle In Court Over Wachovia

Oct 6th, 2008 · The battle for control of Wachovia bank is tilting toward Wells Fargo. A New York state appeals court has blocked a lower court ruling that favored rival bidder Citigroup. Meantime, Wachovia is asking a federal judge to declare invalid part of the Citigroup deal that would have restricted Wachovia from considering competing bids. Air Force Tanker Contract Goes to European Firm

Mar 1st, 2008 · The Air Force announced that the European company EADS and its junior partner, the U.S. weapons-maker Northrop-Grumman, will build the next generation of air-refueling tanker aircraft, dealing a major blow to Boeing Co. It's the first such significant military contract awarded a largely foreign bidder.
