Jan 7th, 2008 · There's a format war going on in video right now: high definition DVD vs. Blu-Ray. It looks like Blu-Ray is winning because more content is going to be produced for Blu-Ray than for HD-DVD. Both formats are trying to replace DVDs because if you watch regular DVDs on your high-def TV, it doesn't look as good as the HDTV you get from your cable or satellite service. At the big Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, it's hard to tell the difference in picture quality between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.
