Dec 16th, 2008 · In 1896, a small copper box filled with items of the day was placed in the foundation of a church in Novato, Calif. The box was opened Monday. Its damp contents included newspapers and a Bible.

Auto Show and found a capsule view of the problems car makers are facing in the United States — one part financial disaster, one part environmental enthusiasm with a splash of fur.
Sep 12th, 2008 · Residents of Elkhart, Ind., have a choice. They can start digging holes all over town, or they can accept that their time capsule from 1958 is gone. Fifty years later, the city would like to dig it up, but there's no official record of its location. One resident remembers that it might be on a street corner where, unfortunately, the sidewalk was recently replaced. The city plans a new time capsule with better records of its location.
Apr 28th, 2008 · Students at Iowa City High School dug up a time capsule last weekend. Thirty years ago, students buried school papers, hall passes, knee socks and some Pringles potato chips. Jacob Yeates, who decided to try the chips, said they didn't taste too bad.
Apr 23rd, 2008 · NASA is trying to downplay fears that the recent bone-rattling landing of a Russian capsule could mean it is less reliable than thought. Once NASA retires the space shuttle in 2010, the Russian Soyuz will be the only means of getting astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

Jun 15th, 2007 · Fifty years ago, the citizens of Tulsa, Okla., buried a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere in a vault, in what has to be one of the most interesting time capsules ever. This Friday, the '57 Plymouth will finally be unearthed.
