But unlike the angry protest that erupted in 2005 after similar cartoons were published in Denmark, Swedes have remained largely silent on the controversy.

Residents woke one morning to find a statue of a local hero sporting yellow skin and a bald head. The dignified Lord John Scott was transformed into Homer Simpson overnight. It's not clear who the pranksters are but local residents want to find them and congratulate them on the level of detail in the makeover.

Jan 1st, 2010 · A 28-year-old Somalia man was armed with an axe and a knife when he entered Kurt Westergaard's home, police said. The intruder, who reportedly has ties to a Somali terrorist group, was shot in the knee. Westergaard caused outrage in the Muslim world for his cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad.
