Kennedy Undergoing Brain Surgery for Tumor

Jun 2nd, 2008 · Sen. Edward M. Kennedy was to undergo surgery on Monday at Duke University Medical Center two weeks after he was diagnosed with an especially lethal type of brain cancer. Kennedy said in a statement that the procedure, which was due to begin at 9 a.m. ET, would be "targeted surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation."
