Dec 24th, 2007 · Crumpet the Elf is back for another holiday visit. Crumpet, better known as writer David Sedaris, at one time worked as a department store elf at Macy's. Sedaris first read from his Santaland Diaries about his experiences as one of Santa's more reluctant helpers 15 years ago. That reading launched his career as a novelist, playwright and humorist.

Dec 17th, 2007 · Canada's postal service is blaming the actions of a single "rogue elf" for its decision to shut down its popular "Write to Santa" program in Canada's capital city. This year someone sent inappropriate responses to at least 10 Ottawa children. Police haven't identified the culprit yet.

Nov 9th, 2006 · Comedian and actor Will Ferrell talks about his new film Stranger Than Fiction. Ferrell plays an accountant who finds that his life has a voiceover that only he can hear. It turns out he's the subject of a novel, and that the writer plans to kill him. Ferrell became famous as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2002, and has gone on to star in movies such as Old School, Elf and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
