Sep 17th, 2009 · Henry Gibson, the veteran comic character actor best known for his role reciting offbeat poetry on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, has died. He was 73. Gibson's son, James, said Gibson died Monday at his home in Malibu after a brief battle with cancer.

Jul 21st, 2009 · There are conflicting accounts in Cambridge, Massachusetts, over the arrest last weekend of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., who was arrested after he was trying to get into his locked house and someone called the police. Gates says his arrest was racially motivated. Police say he became belligerent toward officers who questioned him.

Hector Henry is one of only three doctors over the age of 70 who have agreed to come out of retirement and serve active duty since Sept. 11, 2001, according to the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Command.
