But, if that's the case, John Limbert says he wouldn't be at the State Department. The former Iran hostage was brought out of retirement to become the deputy assistant secretary of state for Iran and trying to find ways to engage his former captors is still part of his job. Limbert acknowledges it hasn't been easy, but he says the Obama administration is not giving up.
