Articles said global warming was fixed and public universities would be free. The people behind the stunt include three New York Times staffers. They will remain anonymous so they don't get fired for spoofing the Gray Lady.

Four years ago, the convenience store owner also bought a lottery ticket, and won $1,500. In July, he won $50,000. Then he scratched another ticket. And as the Dow fell again Wednesday, Polla took home $100,000.
