Nov 18th, 2008 · Washington hotels are getting booked up and charging high rates for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration Jan. 20. Visitors could stay in nearby Maryland or Virginia. But if crowds make that impossible, Sen. Bob Casey has a tip. He's urging people to stay in his state of Pennsylvania. He's sent his Senate colleagues a list of hotels, some of which are as close as 90 minutes away.
Nov 11th, 2008 · The long-awaited, $621 million underground Capitol Visitor Center opens to the public in three weeks. It's lush and made out of Pennsylvania sandstone, Tennessee marble and Virginia granite. It's also behind schedule and way over budget. Jon Seaton is John McCain's regional campaign manager, and he was in charge of two key states: Ohio and Pennsylvania. He says in the end, those two states were a tough nut to crack.
