He passed away from skin cancer. Meanwhile, the campaign to find a dog for the Obama family continues. Peruvians are lobbying for a bald, often toothless breed called the Peruvian Hairless Dog. They says it's perfect for children who are allergic. The puppy's official name is Machu Picchu but it answers to Ears.

Nov 3rd, 2008 · Peruvian singer Yma Sumac died Saturday at age 86. Sumac recorded an extraordinarily wide vocal range of more than four octaves; she could sing notes in the low baritone register as well as notes above the range of an ordinary soprano.
