Aug 29th, 2008 · Downtown St. Paul has been getting a facelift ahead of the Republican National Convention. This means filling vacant storefronts with high-end retailers on short term leases, recruiting street musicians though they're normally banned, bolting down trash bins and planters. There're even spray-painting the leaves green and feeding birth control to the pigeons.

The African gray parrot spilled the information to a vet, after keeping mum with the police. His owners had taught the bird what every child should knows: How to recite his name and address. While waiting for his owners, Mr. Nakamura acted like a bird and sang a few songs.
