Oct 9th, 2007 · Newsday, a New York newspaper, received a tip that the Pulitzer prizes it won for public service were listed on eBay.com last week. The three gold medals sold at a California auction for more than $15,000. The newspaper's staffers thought the awards were safely locked away. No one knows how they ended up for sale on the other side of the country.
