Long Lines at Women's Toilets? It's the Law

Idaho Senator Pleads Guilty in Lewd Conduct Case

Aug 27th, 2007 · Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho pleaded guilty this month to misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Roll Call said on its Web site Monday that the Republican was arrested June 11 by a plainclothes officer investigating complaints of lewd conduct in a men's restroom at the Minneapolis airport.

Air Passengers Rights Bill Introduced in Senate **

Feb 20th, 2007 · Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) introduces legislation today to establish a bill of rights for all airline passengers. The bill would give passengers the option of leaving a plane once it has sat on the tarmac for three hours with the doors closed. It would also require airlines to provide food, drinkable water, and adequate restrooms if a plane is delayed on the ground.

Church Ends Program of Daytime Homeless Beds ***

Oct 26th, 2006 · The monks of a San Francisco Catholic church has for years opened the church doors during the day for homeless people in need of a bed or a restroom. But now the program has been cut back due to lack of funding. Some say this is a good thing, because the program discourages homeless people from finding overnight adequate shelter. New York Corrects Restroom Disparity ***

Jun 10th, 2005 · New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg signs the Women's Restroom Equity Act. It aims to bring potty parity to city bars, sports arenas, movie theaters and similar venues by mandating that they maintain two women's bathroom stalls for every one allotted to men.
