Feb 24th, 2006 · Japan's Shizuka Arakawa has won the women's figure skating gold medal at the Turin Olympics. It's Japan's first medal of these games. She out-skated Sasha Cohen of the United States, who took the silver medal, and Russian world champion Irina Slutskaya, who got the bronze.
