Sep 6th, 2009 · Forget comedy on the Fringe, some of the hottest tickets at this year's Edinburgh Festival are for one-man or one-woman storytelling shows, offering anything from Homer's Odyssey to tales of St. Francis of Assisi, to folk tales and songs. The sellout shows in Scotland's capital have tapped into a general resurgence of storytelling, with the Scottish Storytelling Centre just opening its doors this year in Edinburgh too.

Aug 25th, 2009 · The fallout from the decision to free the only man convicted in the Lockerbie bombing continues to grow. Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who's terminally ill, was freed from a Scottish prison last week on compassionate grounds. Since then, there's been mounting criticism of those who made the decision to release the convicted bomber, especially the Scottish justice secretary. NPR's Rob Gifford talks with Steve Inskeep about the fallout.
