Ayers, a former member of the radical antiwar group the Weather Underground, is now an educator in Chicago. Oct 2nd, 2008 · Senator Barack Obama campaigned in Wisconsin Wednesday before returning to Washington to vote on the Wall Street bailout bill. The Democratic presidential hopeful told voters at a rally in La Crosse that it was an outrage to ask them to rescue Wall Street. But Obama also explained that the bailout was needed to avoid an economic decline and the loss of jobs.
Sep 30th, 2008 · Senator Barack Obama has proposed a fix to the bailout legislation. He wants to expand federal deposit insurance for families and small businesses. Currently bank deposits are insured up to $100,000. His plan would more than double that limit to $250,000.
