Anheuser-Busch Sues Belgian Suitor

Jul 8th, 2008 · Anheuser-Busch has sued InBev, calling the Belgian brewer's plan to takeover the iconic U.S. brewer "illegal." Matt Sepic, of member station KWMU in St. Louis, says the suit seeks to bar InBev from soliciting support from Anheuser-Busch shareholders.

Questions Linger in Wake of Kidnapping Arrest ****

Jan 18th, 2007 · Prosecutors file new charges against Michael Devlin, the 41-year-old pizza shop worker accused of kidnapping two Missouri teenagers. But the case remains puzzling. One boy, who authorities say was held for four years, apparently had access to phones and the Internet, but made no attempt to escape. Matt Sepic of member station KWMU reports.

Post-Disaster Rebuilding, Away from Danger Zones

Nov 10th, 2005 · The Mississippi River overflowed its banks in 1993, devastating the Illinois town of Valmeyer. After the disaster, the town decided to rebuild off of the floodplain, rather than face skyrocketing insurance premiums. Matt Sepic of member station KWMU reports that about 250 communities considered similar moves, but only about a dozen followed through.
