Oct 24th, 2008 · Sgt. Asa Rubman, a paralegal, set up a voting drive in the dining room at his military base in Baghdad. Over the course of five days, nearly 600 soldiers, airmen and contractors cast absentee ballots — many for the first time.

Nov 6th, 2007 · Staff Sgt. Lillian Clamens' husband and three children expected her home last month, just in time for Halloween. Instead, the family had to bury the 35-year-old Army reservist. She was killed in Baghdad when insurgents attacked her unit with rockets.
