Powerful South African unions protested over the shipment, and dockworkers refused to unload the cargo. Feb 13th, 2008 · Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez is refusing to ship oil to Exxon Mobil following a lawsuit by the oil company. Exxon and Venezuela have been fighting over the country's move to nationalize a large oil project. Exxon sued, and the court froze $12 billion worth of Venezuela's overseas assets. Chavez has threatened to stop all U.S. oil shipments.
