Jul 20th, 2006 · In Beirut, the exodus of foreigners is in high gear as fighting between Hezbollah and Israel continues across Lebanon. U.S. Marines landed in Beirut to help evacuate Americans. At the same time, Israeli bombing of targets in Lebanon continued and skirmishes between Hezbollah and Israeli soldiers again took place along the border.

Oct 5th, 2005 · Skirmishes continue between the warring former Soviet republics of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Their common border remains closed and soldiers frequently fire at each other from trenches on both sides. But Lawrence Sheets reports that, despite hostilities, citizens of both countries continue to meet and trade at a Georgian flea market on the border.
Aug 25th, 2005 · A dispute over who deserved money from an oil company ended with a government attack on the town of Odioma, Nigeria, that left the community in tatters. Some residents were killed and others made homeless.
Sep 20th, 2004 · Two new skirmishes erupt between those who want Americans to be able to purchase less expensive prescription drugs from outside the United States. The government is releasing tests of drugs seized in July on their way to Americans who bought them from a Canadian pharmacy, which in turn purchased the drugs in Europe and shipped them through the Bahamas. Meanwhile, a consortium of Canadian Internet pharmacies is deciding whether to approve the practice of contracting with state and local governments in the U.S. to supply lower-priced Canadian drugs to employees and dependents on the governments' health plans.
