Sep 18th, 2008 · Oil giant Texaco, now owned by Chevron, is involved in an epic environmental lawsuit brought on behalf of the indigenous people of Ecuador's rain forest. Texaco is accused of failing to clean up billions of gallons of toxic waste produced during its involvement in oil production in Ecuador. Texaco ended its operations there in the early 1990's and its new owner Chevron inherited the lawsuit. Attorney Stephen Donziger who works with the plaintiffs legal team and Chevron spokesperson Kent Robertson discuss the case.

May 9th, 2008 · Myanmar's military rulers have agreed to let one U.S. cargo aircraft, loaded with relief supplies, into the country. The U.S., the United Nations and international aid groups express growing frustration as they wait for permission to help victims of last week's deadly cyclone. Earlier, Myanmar's government seized two planeloads of critical aid sent by the U.N. Paul Risley, a spokesperson for the World Food Program, tells Michele Noris about his agency's attempts to help cyclone victims. The agency is now planning to send two flights of food to Myanmar on Saturday.
May 3rd, 2008 · This past week, the Transportation Security Administration introduced new security measures at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, including a controversial "whole-body scanner." The scanner provides guards with an image that strips away a traveler's clothing, revealing everything that person is carrying — and their naked bodies.
