Companies that provide such "equine-assisted learning" say because horses are so good at reflecting human behavior, they can help teach people something about themselves.
Aug 30th, 2008 · Each year, the National Outdoor Leadership School gives about 3,000 young people an education in how to live and work in the outdoors. The lessons focus on safety, survival, and teamwork — and the students hope to translate them into their daily lives back home.
Jan 5th, 2007 · For more than 30 years, a man known to Venezuelans as Maestro Abreu has run a system of orchestras that teach classical music to thousands of Venezuelan children. Many of the young pupils are poor and from violent barrios. Some have gone on to become well-known conductors and musicians in Europe. The program teaches discipline and teamwork.
