Feb 18th, 2010 · While much of New York City was entrenched in fashion week, I put on the same Norwegian ski sweater I've been wearing all season, pulled up my black boots, threw a scarf around my neck and headed off to the 2010 Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. (Sure, I would have traded all that for a ticket to the Rodarte show, but that's a whole other story.)

Feb 16th, 2010 · A Scottish terrier won America's top dog show Tuesday, but what happened moments before Sadie took the title at Westminster was far more startling. Two women walked into the center ring at Madison Square Garden and held up signs that said "Mutts Rule" and "Breeders Kill Shelter Dogs' Chances."

Nov 9th, 2009 · A Missouri college with special ties to the start of the Cold War are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall today. Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., was the site of Winston Churchill's Iron Curtain Speech, which historians say marked the start of the Cold War. Westminster also has the largest complete piece of the Berlin Wall in the United States. Westminster students are creating a replica of the wall in the shadow of the actual wall. To commemorate the anniversary, they will tear down the replica wall.

Feb 11th, 2009 · At the Westminster Kennel Club dog show last night, a 10-year Sussex spaniel named Stump was crowned "top dog." That's equivalent of a 70-year old baseball player being named MVP of the year.

Feb 11th, 2009 · At the Westminster dog show the top dog was also the oldest dog ever to win. Ten-year-old Stump took best in show honors. The Sussex spaniel had been retired. His handler said he decided to show Stump one last time, almost on a whim.

Feb 13th, 2008 · Tuesday night, for the first time ever, a beagle won "Best in Show" at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Uno, a 15-inch beagle, brought the crowd to its feet at the sold-out show at Madison Square Garden.
